Daniel has ministered at churches in Kentucky and Massachusetts, and now serves at Grace Baptist Church–Chambersburg, PA. He received a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology and ThM in Historical Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS). He also received a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies (Summa) from Boyce College and Master of Divinity at Southern. He served in the Army as an Infantryman for almost 6 years, spending part of his first deployment to Afghanistan as a Chaplain’s Assistant as well. He deployed twice, was wounded by IEDs twice, and medically retired from the Army in 2013. He's been married to Patsy since 2007, and he and Patsy have 4 beautiful children, 2 older girls (Ana & Malia) and 2 younger boys (Danny & John), each about two years apart (15, 13, 11, & 8). He wrote his dissertation under Stephen Wellum on the pactum salutis (covenant of redemption), showing its consistency with orthodox Trinitarianism. It is called “Eternal Covenant: The Trinitarian Shape of an Historic Baptist Doctrine.” His interests are broad and include the full range of theological loci, as well as literature, history, philosophy, and Christian living. In addition to his ministry to the local church, he serves the broader church as an Online Teaching Assistant at SBTS and has been asked to teach theology courses for International Reformed Baptist Seminary (IRBS) and Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary (CBTS), and is an approved ThM Advisor for CBTS. Daniel's prayer is that God will cause him to be of some use to his church by helping Christians to think deeply about their faith and what it means to live out of that depth.
